Chilo's Tacos & Mariscos Information

Right off the corner of Jersey and 18th in Lemoore, there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about Chilo's Tacos & Mariscos that makes it feel like a true local staple rather than a polished, over-curated dining spot. The location itself is easy to find and has that laid-back Central Valley vibe, where you’ll see a mix of regulars grabbing a quick bite and families settling in for a casual meal.

The menu leans heavily into classic Mexican seafood and street-style favorites, and it doesn’t try to reinvent anything-it just does the essentials really well. The tacos are a clear highlight, especially the fish and shrimp options, which come out crispy, well-seasoned, and generously filled. There’s a noticeable freshness to the ingredients, from the bright lime wedges to the house-made salsas that range from mild to a punchy heat that lingers just enough. On one visit, the ceviche stood out for its balance-zesty without being overpowering, and packed with tender seafood that didn’t feel over-marinated.

Portion sizes are solid, especially for the price point, which is something locals often mention in their reviews. Plates like the shrimp cocktail or mariscos bowls feel hearty without crossing into excessive, making it easy to share or take leftovers home. The menu variety is broad enough that you can stick with tacos one day and explore something more seafood-focused the next, which keeps things interesting if you’re a repeat visitor.

The atmosphere is simple but comfortable, with a no-frills setup that puts the focus squarely on the food. It’s not the kind of place you come to for ambiance, but it doesn’t feel lacking either-just relaxed and welcoming. Service tends to be friendly and efficient, even during busier hours, and there’s a sense that the staff know many of their customers by name, which adds to the neighborhood feel.

One thing worth noting is that, like many smaller local spots, consistency can vary slightly depending on the time of day or how busy it gets, but overall the experience holds up well. It’s the kind of place where expectations are met with honest, flavorful food rather than flashy presentation, and that’s exactly why it continues to draw people back.

What People's Say About Place

It’s Good. Go On Pullover…. I’m a sucker for a smile, good service and ripping tacos. These are great. Not over the top but full of flavour and freshness. …and they’re good people to boot.

Great food and salsas!!! The truck looks clean and it’s located in a clear intersection with plenty of room to park and sit down and eat. I ordered the Al Pastor Torta and it was great! I also ordered the sopes and comes three per order with rice and beans. I love that they serve you a meal and it really does taste like homemade. I dare to say their red salsa is among the best ones I’ve had! Please be sure to ask for the spicy (red) salsa next time and put it on everything! I’ll ask for more next time. There’s a place to wash your hands, a table with chairs and even toilets! They make it confortable for you to sit down and enjoy your meal. I will definitely recommend this food truck to everyone and will return to try the rest of the food

For Taco Truck or Restaurant, our carne asada tacos were REALLY REALLY GOOD! Meat was tender. Full of flavor, lots of meat, salsa really tasty, too and I'm really picky about salsa sauces, just yummy, hot and fresh!

This is usually the Togo place for me when I leave the casino. Have no complaints, just that gotta take it easy on the one cook working. He's trying his best and doing a Hella of a job. Just gotta remind him not to add certain ingredients, but it's understandable when he's the only one working. Keep up the hard work.

Came to Cali from Texas for some work and found this little taco spot man the food was fresh and so tender fair prices too. If I ever find myself back over here I’ll definitely be stopping by again

30 bucks For 6 quesabirrias a bit pricey but you can’t blame the guy for trying to make a living not bad at all.

Yummy yummy for the tummy. I love tacos and freshly made hot salsa. I also like chips & salsa and sometimes a nice cold beer hits the spot. If you are like me then don't wait...go. Deliciousness awaits

Delicious,, good portion. I will be back for sure ...
